Why is the workflow button disabled in the thick client?

The workflow button is disabled despite the OnBase environment being licensed for workflow:

The most common cause of this is the workstation not being registered to use a workflow license. Simply having the licenses does not ensure that they will be utilized by workstations.

To correct this, a workflow license will need to be registered. This can be done in the OnBase thick client from Admin | User Management | Workstation Registration:

In the Workstation Registration dialog, select the currently active workstation (denoted with an asterisk) from the list on the left. Then in the drop down menu on the right, select Workflow Concurrent Client SL and click on the Register button. This will add the selected license to the registered products on the right:

Once this process is complete, click the Exit button to leave the registration dialog, and the workflow button should now be enabled:
